Confidence is key when wanting a happy and fulfilling life. We all want things for ourselves, goals to come to life, be ahead of the game etc. But, we need to step it up and cancel out that voice in our head that tells us to forget about it or that we are not good enough. Missing out on that confidence can limit all the potential that you have and turn it into an obstacle.
Put That Brain on Fleek
Confidence starts with yourself in your own mind. If you start to think of yourself as a talented bomb ass queen other people will start to see you that way. Positive self-talk/ affirmations is so important for boosting high self-esteem and building that killer confidence. One thing I love to do is read positive quotes on Instagram right when I wake up in the morning to set the tone for the day. It really helps to boost my motivation and reminds me that I am in control of my life. As for that tightens feeling that you get in your chest, that is fear and anxiety trying to get the best of you which can make us withdraw from the world. We definitely do not want to do that. Fill yourself up with positivity and watch yourself break away the cycle of over thinking and canceling out your inner critic.
Stand Guard for Your Inner Circle
Open your eyes and take a good look at the people you call friends. There may be some that are negative and toxic to you that you are blind to. People like that will bring your confidence down and drag you down to their misery. People who are your actual friends are not going to talk bad about you behind your back or be jealous of the success that you have or that you have coming for you.
A true friend is going to be there to lift you up, encourage you to do better and cheer you on when anything amazing happens. There will be friends who you will outgrow and that is okay, it is completely normal. Gain the confidence to say goodbye to the friendships that have no benefits or growth for your life.
Take a Step on the Wild Side
Push yourself to try new things and you’ll start to understand how failure and mistakes lead to growth. Your confidence will give you the skills and coping methods needed to handle any setbacks and failures you may encounter. Confidence will help you handle challenges, and not be affected by them. When you get out of your comfort zone, you are taking more shots which means maturing more than others.
Confidence will allow you to show up, stand up, and speak up for who you are and what you want. You’ll be able to let your best self-shine!
