Slaying California One Outfit at a Time💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽

Having a week long of birthday festivities called for some killer outfits to slay in. For me, my fashion is a bit girly with an edge. I love trying different colors and patterns to see what compliments my curvy figure. Stepping out of my comfort zone is always on my agenda when it comes to slaying the scene, and it should be yours too! Let’s take a look at the top outfits that gave me the confidence to slay while in California!

Kayaking Glam

The day before my birthday, my bestie and I were in beautiful San Diego for the day and on our agenda, we booked a kayaking excursion in La Jolla. For any outdoor activities I like to make sure I’m super comfy and can move around easily with no restrictions.

While looking online, I came across the website Shein.com where I found this beautiful olive green two piece. Its so lightweight and the shorts have a drawstring waist to control how loose or tight you want it. I love how that olive-green color looks against my skin and also makes my hazel eyes pop! The hooded top has a zipper and was slightly cropped allowing me to move around freely. As for footwear, I chose some water shoes that I found on amazon to keep my feet protected.

Dinner with A Side of Chic

For dinnertime we headed over to San Diego’s Little Italy where my meal wasn’t the only thing causing jaws to drop. I have been loving jumpsuits a lot lately, and this one from Cotton On was no exception. This jumpsuit is a camel rust color with a flowy wide leg, it has thin shoulder straps and a thin belt to tie around the waist. I loved how it sat well on my curves and felt so open and free. It was a tad bit chilly that night, so I paired it with a jean jacket which added a nice contrast and edge to the look. For shoes, I went with some comfy platform sandals. To finish it all off I of course added some accessories. I paired the look with some gold layered necklaces and a bamboo handbag.

Birthday Slay

When my birthday arrived, I knew I wasn’t going to stick to just one outfit that’s for sure! This Chica had two! For the first half of the day I wore a multi-blue stripped wrap dress from Forever 21 that hugged my curves so nicely. I paired it with my denim jacket and some strappy black platform sandals and of course a gold layered necklace. Woo, I felt like such a babe in this look.

For the evening festivities I went with a burgundy two-piece outfit from an online store called Agaci. The top showed off my shoulders and had a beautiful lace design all over. It also had beautiful mid-length flowy sleeves. As for the pants, they were fitted on the top and flowy towards the bottom. As you can tell, I am obsessed with these strappy platform sandals, because well, I wore them again. I have also been loving pairing my layered necklaces with my outfits.

Hiking with taste

When it comes to hiking, the comfier the better. The day before leaving California we hiked up to the Hollywood Sign, which was glorious! For my outfit I went with leggings from Forever 21 in a lovely transcending gradient from black, gray and white. They are so stretchy and lightweight! I then chose to wear my very well-loved Avocado tank top that I found on Etsy. To finish the look, I went with some basic black sneakers to put it all together.

When it comes to choosing outfits, don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and try something new. Ignore what people have to say and be confident in your style with your head held high smiling like the queen you are!
